Widex is a family-owned Danish company that has been making hearing aids since 1956. Its hearing aids are sold in over 100 countries and employs over 4000 people.
Widex’s newest hearing aid range is called Widex Moment and incorporates a number of improvements over the previous generation, Widex Beyond.
The mid-range model is called the Widex Moment 220. It is designed for users with moderately active lifestyles.
Widex Moment rechargeable hearing aid, at time of release, is the smallest on the market; it takes four hours to charge and will last for 20 hours.
Widex Moment’s new PureSound technology reduces the time it takes for a hearing aid to process sound. Many hearing-aid wearers report a tinny or distorted sound when listening through their aids. This is typically due to the time difference between a direct sound signal hitting the ear drum and the processed sound from the hearing aid. Widex PureSound has zero processing delay. Widex research finds the benefits of zero processing delay with PureSound technology includes users finding Widex Moment sound more natural and distortion free.
Widex TruAcoustics is new technology that ensures the hearing aid produces the correct amount of gain at the eardrum. For the hearing aid user, TruAcoustics technology ensures a more accurate fitting prescription and therefore a more natural sound and improved speech recognition.
The Widex Moment range is designed to keep learning and improving from the user’s own experiences and from those of other users around the world. Widex’s E-Platform utilises machine learning. The Widex Moment App includes SoundSense Learn which collects information on the user’s preferences and anonymous data from other users and then suggests new settings.
Fluid Sound Analyser technology accurately analyses the listening environment and reliably selects the correct listening settings allowing the Fluid Sound Controller to adjust settings for optimal hearing.
Widex Moment has made for iPhone (MFi) technology built in, meaning you can take calls or stream music direct from an iPhone. The device is also Android ready and will work with the latest version of Android software.
Widex Moment comes in 4 technology levels in the range Moment 440, Moment 330, Moment 220 and Moment 110. Full features and a comparison chart can be found on our product pages.
